This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why it is collected, how long it is kept and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does — there is no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking on this site.

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data in one situation only: when you submit an enquiry through a form on this site. Browsing the site does not create any record of you.

The enquiry forms submit the following, exactly as you enter it:

• Name and surname
• Email address
• Phone number
• Company name
• Address, city, country and postcode (catalogue requests only)
• The message you write

Alongside that, the server records two technical items with each submission:

• The IP address the enquiry was sent from
• The browser user-agent string

These two are kept for one purpose — identifying and blocking automated spam submissions. They are not used to profile you and are not combined with any other source.

What we do with it

Your enquiry is stored in our database and a notification is emailed to our sales address, lee@unijoycarpets.com, so that a person can reply to you. Mail is delivered through Alibaba Cloud enterprise email, which handles the message in transit.

That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent or share enquiry data with third parties, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are retained for 30 days and are then deleted from the database automatically.

One honest caveat about the mechanism: the deletion runs when a new enquiry is submitted. In a quiet period with no new enquiries, records older than 30 days may remain until the next submission triggers the clean-up. If you want your record removed sooner, email us and we will delete it directly.

Note that the notification email sent to our sales inbox is a separate copy, held in that mailbox under normal business correspondence practice. Ask us if you want that removed as well.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heat-mapping and no third-party tracking script of any kind. Nothing on this site follows you between visits or across other websites.

Because of that, there is no cookie banner and no consent to manage — there is nothing to consent to.

Where the data is held

The website and its database run on servers in Europe. Enquiry notifications are delivered to a mailbox operated by Alibaba Cloud enterprise email. Our company is based in Shanghai, China, so staff handling your enquiry will access it from there.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email lee@unijoycarpets.com from the address you used to enquire, and we will action it. There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.

Changes to this policy

If we change how enquiry data is handled, this page is updated at the same time and the date at the top changes with it. We do not backdate changes.
