ABOUT US

Based in Shanghai, Unijoy has been producing premium carpet tiles since 1996. As the first company that introduced Japanese tufted pile and backing production lines into China, we contributed to the carpet tile industry standard QB/T 2755-2005, drafted with participation from Shanghai Gaorong New Decorative Materials Co., Ltd., the company from which our manufacturing operation descends. Our founder Pei Hairong, with 30 years in carpet manufacturing, is named among that standard's principal drafters.

  • China National Environmental Carpet Certificate No. 022 — certified to Grade A of national standard GB 18587-2001, issued by the National Carpet Standardization Technical Committee. Valid to December 2029.
  • High-Tech Enterprise (国家高新技术企业), certificate GR202431004252, jointly awarded by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Finance Bureau and Shanghai Tax Service, December 2024.
  • Specialised and Sophisticated SME (专精特新中小企业), Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, July 2023 – June 2026.
  • Invention patent ZL 03 1 50964.9 — a pre-coating method and apparatus for greige carpet on a production line. First-named inventor: Pei Hairong.
  • Invention patent ZL 2016 1 0594961.9 — a visible-light photocatalytic self-cleaning antibacterial textile and its preparation, held jointly with Donghua University, one of China's leading textile research universities.
  • Industry association — member of the Carpet Industry Association under the China Arts and Crafts Association since 2000; currently a deputy secretary-general member organisation.

    Shanghai Gaorong New Decorative Materials Co., Ltd. was established in Zhangjiang High-tech Park.
  • 1997
    30 million Yuan was invested to introduce the most advanced PVC carpet tile production line from Japan.
  • 1999
    Became the prominent OEM in China and participated in the Chinafloor Fair for the first time and twenty consecutive years.
  • 2000
    The company applied BASF imported yarn to develop the high-grade nylon products, which exported to Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
