Dunhuang is a chromatic epic of time, written in layers. The brilliance of different civilizations has sedimented and blended here, leaving upon the rock walls a chromatic code that spans millennia. This collection draws inspiration from that legacy, distilling the philosophy of color evolution-where, under the veil and permeation of time, all vividness returns to harmony, and every boundary dissolves into breath.

We lay down the canvas of history with seven foundational hues drawn from the earth and the grottoes: taupe, extracted from the memory of rock and sand; nuanced grays, tinged by weathered walls and ink traces. Together, they form a base as serene, inclusive, and texturally rich as time itself.

Six inspired hues awaken from Dunhuang's color palette. They emerge in naturally gradated forms, as if growing from the foundational tones, mimicking the masterpiece that time has painted upon the murals: once-vibrant cinnabar, lapis lazuli, and malachite have quietly blended with the wall over long ages-edges softening, tones mellowing-achieving a harmony that transcends time.
